Wonderful Family Outing with the Krims

A fun family party with my sister and her whole family. It was nice to see everyone together sharing Steph's college graduation. It seems the next generation is really on their way. They are all grown up.

Fun Interview with a Former Student

I had a library interview today and I was delighted to renew time with a former student now the librarian. When you teach for a while you meet some lovely students. It is often hard to remember all their names. They somehow remember you.

Writing Class, Exercise and Even the Dentist

Today was a full day, but fun. Went to my writing class and then my exercise class. Met a lovely woman and we chatted as we exercised. I was amazed to learn that she will be located this winter in Florida not far from us.. I am sure we will connect there . Her husband plays tennis with my partner as well.

Fun Uke Class

Tonight we attended a fun uke class. It was interesting to hear some of the students perform. This was just the second class, but the performers were not beginners. I can now perform two songs. I find the fingering tough, but I am doing better.

Fancy Nancy Says: It is good for your brain to try to learn something brand new. A challenge!

My Second Uke Lesson

My daughter is such a patient teacher. I now know how my students feel when they are new at a project. I will go on Wed. to their uke workshop to be held at the local library. They are really promoting the program and probably 50 will arive. My daughter is a wonderful support system for he husband. He is lucky to have her in his life.

Learning the Uke

My daughter gave me my first uke lesson. Strumming is okay, but doing the chords can be a problem. My fingers don't want to go where they are supposed to go. Tonight I watched some free videos on playing the uke. The only song I could play is Frere Jacques since all I have to do is sturm the C chord.

Booked a Family Party

Just booked a family party for our Early Thanksgiving. Since we are all at different places in Nov. we celebrate the holiday much earlier. Why not. The important part is for everyone to get together. I look forward to family parties.
